The beach of Mommark is right next to the harbor. The wide sandy beach with smaller stones invites you to swim, sunbathe and play in the sand. The water is calm and the beach is partially shielded by hedges and green vegetation from the hinterland. About 7 km south of Mommark is the 5 km long sandy beach of Skovmose, which is referred to the speech as the most beautiful beach of Als. The water is also very quiet here, as the beach is protected by the islands of Funen and Ærø and the German coast.
