The most famous landmark of the city is the Catholic St. Martinus Church, which is popularly called Emslanddom. The neo-baroque cathedral dominates the city with its 58m high dome.

Haren is a sweet little town in which the "St. Martin's Church" called "Emslanddom" is not the only highlight. In the neighborhood is Schloss Dankern one of the largest playgrounds in Germany - and it is a wonderful holiday resort.
