"Secret factory near Hegnenbach" Augsburger Allgemeine 22.07.17

The construction of the secret factory with the code name Z-Hiag began around 1937. In Welden there was a loading ramp for the raw materials and the dangerous cargo. It is not known how many tons of the explosive precursor were produced in Holzwinkel. 180 tons per month were planned. In 1946, the entire complex was valued by the American occupiers at over twelve million Reichsmarks.
