The Urban Complex of the Justice System in Warsaw is a complex of buildings at Krasiński Square, which is the seat of the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal and a branch of the Institute of National Remembrance. The complex is characterized by a unique interior design – 76 columns with legal parables in Latin and Polish, developed by experts. The capitals of the columns have symbols of scales and Fighting Poland, and the tops are covered with greenery inspired by Inca architecture. An important element of the rear elevation are three caryatids symbolizing faith, hope and love. The complex is planned to be expanded.

The Supreme Court was based on the Court of Cassation of the Principality of Warsaw from the Napoleonic era. It began its work in 1917 as the Royal Imperial Supreme Court during the First World War. Stanisław Pomian-Srzednicki was appointed as the first president of the court by the Axis powers. After Poland gained full independence in 1918, the Supreme Court was reformed by decree of February 8, 1919, and many judges who were considered loyal to the emperor were removed.
