    The official route goes past one side of the rocks. You can also walk along a narrow path at the back of the rocks. There is also a small ladder there.

        A detour to the Guckenbühlfelsen is worthwhile - don't miss the turnoff, the Rumbergsteig only leads along the bottom of the rock, you'll miss the beautiful view of the rock.

          Guggenbühlfels. Here again, a long rock massif, to which a serpentine path leads. If you want to reach "the summit", you will find an iron ladder at the lowest point of the west wall. From there, you are supposed to have a wonderful view of the Wasgau and neighboring Alsace, although I have not checked this out. (Sometimes I am a little bit deceptive.)
