The conical brick tower windmill was built in 1836 and later increased. After a storm damage in which the hood with the wing cross and compass rose were destroyed, it was operated as a motor mill with a flat conical roof (without a wind turbine) until 1990. On September 1st, 1990 all wooden parts (roof, mill technical equipment, floors, stairs, etc.) were completely destroyed by fire. In the following years the mill building including the cap with compass rose and wing cross was completely rebuilt, but without interior fittings. By building a new cap (in the shape of the historical cap) with wing shaft, wing cross and compass rose, the mill regained its historical appearance.
