      The once dense spruce forests around the pond fell victim to the bark beetle. However, this is not the first time in its history that the old mining pond has seen the barren surroundings it currently has - and in a few years a new forest will also have grown here.               The dam of the Haderbach Pond was built at the end of the 17th century.

              The Haderbach Pond is max. 200 meters long and up to 100 meters wide. Its water content when fully filled is 102,000 cubic meters.

              Once built as a power water supply for the pounding works, the Haderbach Pond is now a popular bathing and fishing pond.
              It has been a listed building since 1978.

                The artificial lake lost its former purpose long ago. Today, Haderbach Pond is a popular fishing spot for all those who meet the requirements.

                Furthermore, the lake is a popular swimming spot during the warmer months, not least thanks to its easy accessibility. You'll find several suitable spots on the east and west banks. Swimming here is always at your own risk; it's not officially permitted anyway.

                Just a few hundred meters below the pond dam is the "Obere Innerste" campsite. From there, Haderbach Pond is a possible first destination for a short walk.
