Nice route, a bit narrow in some places. At the weekend it risks being clogged and at that point the passage becomes difficult (It is not a cycle path but the bikes are tolerated). Halfway between Monza and Garbagnate it becomes a dirt road, but still passable by road bikes. Unfortunately in Paderno it stops and forces you to take the ordinary road system.

"It is 1862 when Eugenio Villoresi begins the design of the canal called to resolve the age-old question of irrigation of the so-called dry plain. After numerous difficulties it will be due to the commitment of his son Luigi who carried out the posthumous will of his father that the canal could finally be realized with the Italian Society for Water Conduits which took over from the Villoresi heirs.

The construction works were undertaken by the Condotte d'Acqua, the excavations began in January 1882; on April 28, 1884 the first stretch of 45 kilometers was inaugurated; they were completed in 1888. A map of the province of Milan dating back to 1886 indicates the section under construction between Nova Milanese and the Adda river, but according to a route different from that of today [...].
