The castle was built by Baron Günther Carl Albrecht von Nimptsch between 1795 and 1797 as a baroque winegrower's house. The associated vineyard stretched on the mountain behind the building, and viticulture was stopped as early as 1898. Today it is privately owned and not open to the public.

The baroque Jochhöhschlösschen Castle was built between 1795 and 1797 as a winegrower's house. It consists of a two-storey central building, two single-storey side wings and two cavalier houses. Below the castle was a vineyard with a winery and a small inn. After the phylloxera disaster around 1850, the castle increasingly lost its importance. The city of Freital set up a retirement home in it in the 20th century, which was closed in 2000. The castle was then renovated and divided into condominiums.
