Lake Martino is a small artificial lake located on the north-east side of Monte Molinatico, in the Taro valley, near Lake Orma.

Before, instead of this lake, a small marshy clearing called Prato Martino stretched, crossed by some streams. But in 1970 the State Forestry Corps built the pond by digging a basin in the clearing and filling it with water from the river that crossed it.

The emissary of the lake is a small stream that descends eastwards to form the Rio delle Arole, a tributary of the Taro River.

The pond is surrounded by vast deciduous forests, much appreciated by mushroom hunters.
