Beaconwood and the Winsel is a nature reserve on the edge of Birmingham. The woodland is renowned for stunning displays of bluebells and is a great place for spotting wildlife. The reserve is particularly good for birdwatching and is home to many species, including buzzards, kestrels, sparrowhawks, great spotted woodpeckers, tree creepers, pied flycatchers, tawny and little owls, plus more.
