The Eppendorfer Baum street crosses the Isebek Canal over the Eppendorfer Bridge. The bridge thus connects the three Hamburg districts of Hoheluft-Ost, Harvestehude and Eppendorf.

The 21.10 m long and 22.93 m wide arched bridge is clad in clinker bricks and rests on granite bases.

As a result of a law to promote and support visual artists that came into force in 1925, numerous state buildings were decorated with contemporary art by 1933 - including the Eppendorfer Bridge. Its wrought iron railing shows stylized fish and was designed by the painter and sculptor Richard Haizmann.

The Eppendorfer Bridge was built in 1928 by Fritz Schumacher and is listed as a cultural monument in the Hamburg Cultural Authority's list of monuments with the number 19654.
