Nice view and relatively easy to climb, since you can take the train up to almost 2,500 meters in altitude. Rocky and partly steep.

A head for heights and sure-footedness are required for the last approx. 250 vertical meters to the Furglerspitze. The path is well marked and secured with ropes in some places.

Lots of traffic in high season.

The isolated location high above the Inn and Paznaun valleys, on the north-eastern spur of the Samnaun group, makes this mountain an excellent vantage point: the Ötztal Alps form the eastern backdrop with such striking mountains as the peaks of the Rofelewand or Watzespitze and the firn peaks of the Weißkugel and Wildspitze . In the southeast, beyond the Reschen Pass, the triumvirate of Königspitze, Ortler and Monte Zebrú towers into the South Tyrolean sky and the Cevedale also shows its glistening snowy flanks. The Sesvenna Group can hardly be made out in the huge sea of peaks, but a little further to the right, the unmistakable mountain shapes of Piz Palü and Piz Bernina (the only 4000m peak in the Eastern Alps) can be clearly seen far behind over the Upper Engadine. In the south, just behind the Swiss border, the highest peaks of the Samnaun group tower up and to the right of them the parade of peaks of the Silvretta group, which is quite difficult to classify from this perspective. On the other side of the Paznauntal rises the distinctive horn of the Hoher Riffler as the eastern cornerstone of the Verwall Group. Behind it, the compact wall of the Lechtal Alps with the Parseierspitze - the only 3000m peak in the northern Limestone Alps - blocks the view of Bavaria. On the other hand, Germany's highest mountain, the Zugspitze, can be seen far to the north-east - beyond the Inn valley.
