Unfortunately, the Villa Bode on Glinde's Mühlenteich, which most recently housed the San Lorenzo restaurant, is scheduled to be demolished to make way for a new building with nine luxury apartments.

Edit in September 2023:
Demolition of the villa began on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
Now, a new building with eight luxury rental apartments is to be built.

Today's Villa Bode at Kupfermühlenweg 2, where the Italian specialty restaurant "San Lorenzo" is located, originally belonged to the Glinder Mühle estate. Müller Ernst Hinrich Hintze had the villa built directly on the mill pond in 1887.

It would really be a pity if it were simply torn down. I hereby expressly advocate that it be preserved for all of us.
