The port of Lindenau is about 4.5 km west of the city center. It connects the Gründerzeit city with the district of Grünau. The Lindenau harbor has now been connected to the Karl-Heine-Kanal and can be used for recreation and recreation.

In the north of the harbor basin, the construction of a technical harbor with 200 berths - the future MARINA Leipzig-Lindenau - is intended. The historic storage buildings will give this marina an unmistakable character. This area houses basic tourist facilities and maritime industries.
