The environmental library is housed in one of the two city wall towers - the so-called corner tower, probably the oldest city wall tower in the city. Children and young people are offered activities and programs on a wide range of topics, such as: experiencing nature, researching the environment or dealing with natural materials. There is also the possibility to treat yourself to a refreshment in the self-service café.

The environmental center and the natural garden of the BUND is located directly behind the old city wall, at the "Burgturm". The tower is also used as an environmental library. In the garden, small biotopes have been created on approx. 1300 square meters, and there are also areas with fruit, vegetables and medicinal herbs. The small, seasonal café in the inner courtyard is recommended for refreshment, there are various seating options to linger and enjoy in the midst of a small green oasis.

Opening times natural garden:

April to October 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

November-March 8 am-12pm

Environment Center opening times:

Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Opening times of the café from April to October, every Saturday, Sunday and public holidays 2pm to 6pm
