Nature is always new, every day. Spring, summer, autumn, or winter – the beech forest in Prora looks, smells, and feels different every time. Visitors of all ages can experience and understand nature year-round on Europe's only treetop walk with a sea view: at eye level with primeval beech trees on the barrier-free treetop walk, on guided hikes such as those to the famous flint fields, or in the exciting interactive exhibitions. Along the way, they wander through the three ecosystems of forest, open land, and wetlands.

The highlight is the treetop walk's 40-meter-high observation tower, modeled after an eagle's nest. With a little luck, visitors to the Rügen Nature Heritage Center can observe native sea eagles on their excursions from here.

The view is really great, but I wouldn't call this 40m high observation tower a "treetop path" because not so much is described about the trees. Perhaps it is also because there are mainly beech and oak trees here.
Come early, otherwise there will be a long queue! Entry now 12 euros, quite steep ...

We were very lucky to get a guided tour from Wolfgang Hintze. He has an enormous wealth of knowledge about all things about the island of Rügen, flora and fauna.
There were also two of us on the tour at 2:00 p.m., so it was essentially a private tour. 🤩

The signage for the treetop path leaves a lot to be desired. If there is a sign, it is difficult to identify as such because it is badly weathered.
