Manor chapel (private)
The chapel in the castle park of Oldershausen, built by master builder Julius Christian Bölke from Windhausen, has only stood at this location since 1706. Elector Georg Ludwig Duke of Braunschweig and Lüneburg and later King George I of England personally approved the construction of the Baron von Oldershausen family in 1704, one of them any new chapel that can be financed and maintained, however free and from its own resources.
The chapel was built in the Baroque style with a small tower and the upper part was half-timbered. The “Gutskapelle” was frequently rebuilt inside and out over time.
The hand-carved, colored altarpiece shows the Last Supper and dates from the 17th century.
According to a diary entry, the chapel's organ comes from the church in Kalefeld and was donated in 1872.
