The small Pulverhofpark on the Wandse in the Hamburg district of Rahlstedt shows its most beautiful side in autumn, when the sweetgum trees and other exotic trees bear their colorful autumn leaves.

The Wandse is still in a near-natural state and builds up in the middle of the green area to form a powder pond, for which a brook sponsorship can also be taken over.

The name Pulverhofpark derives from an old powder mill, operated by Dietmar Koel in the early 17th century. In addition to the watermill, a windmill also stood on the site. Both mills burned down within five years of each other and were never rebuilt.

The white manor house is surrounded by tall, old trees.

You can stroll through the landscaped garden around the white villa, dating from the late 19th century. Particularly beautiful, old, and rare trees can be found here. Charming scenes await you in every season, especially in autumn, when the leaves of the sweetgum tree change color.

The park is located on the Wandse green belt and the Pulverteich pond, which was only newly created in 1966. The size and shape of the current body of water do not correspond to the historic mill pond.

You can find Pulverhofpark at the Pulverhof, corner of Stein-Hardenberg-Straße, 22147 Hamburg.
