Agios Nikolaos is a small, understated town with a tiny port fronted by a line of old houses with a couple of very inviting bars and restaurants. Particularly outside of the two summer months the atmosphere is decidedly local, friendly and authentic. The bars then are more like homes with friends hanging out.
