Not only is the Drägerweg, which meanders along the other bank, ideal for cycling; there are also several well-maintained paths directly along the riverbank on this side of the river. This path starts at the Wakenitz Bridge (Wallbrechtstraße), offering beautiful, sweeping views over the Wakenitz – both to the north and to the east. Heading east, the path is initially flat, then slightly above the river to the Goldberg. This is the only section of the Wakenitz where the bank drops somewhat steeply. The gentle ups and downs on the path, which runs along the top of the slope, are easy to manage, and the views through the trees are always rewarding. The path is easy to cycle in both directions.
