Here since 1986 trees are planted, which were donated by the citizens. The donors are registered on the 2 meter high sandstone column. Meanwhile, all four sides of the column are labeled.

"The Green Circle eV Ludwigshafen started to plant a so-called Bürgerhain in 1986 to give interested citizens the opportunity to donate one or more trees and to plant them on this site at weddings, anniversaries and other traditional occasions .
The now 2 hectare site is planted with over 300 predominantly native trees such as oak, maple, ash, linden, beech, birch and fruit trees.
From an urban planning point of view, the Bürgerhain is an important link in the green belt that extends from Ebertpark via Riedsaumpark and the Bastenhorst permanent allotment to the leisure facilities at the Willersinnweiher.
The names of the tree donors are carved into the approx. 2 m high memorial stone made of red sandstone. "
