Dalby Söderskog National Park was established in 1918 to preserve what was then described as the southern Swedish deciduous forest. In reality, Dalby Söderskog consisted of both actual forest and overgrown pastureland. Around 1900, a high forest of oak and beech trees grew here over a shimmering green carpet.
The national park is at its most beautiful in spring. The intense, almost exotic blossoms in yellow and white are a sign of spring that is eagerly awaited. Now is the time to head out into nature for the first time of the year with a woolen blanket and picnic basket.
