In the heart of Sweden, at the northern tip of Lake Vättern, lies the small and cozy town of Askersund. The old town with its cafes and small shops, the cozy harbor with the beach promenade and the lively life in the small town invite you to spend nice days filled with activities and recreation.

The small old town invites you to stroll through quiet streets, along small wooden houses and over the cobblestone market square. There is a good selection of unique shops, cozy cafes and restaurants with a nice atmosphere.

The passenger boat M / S Wettervik takes you on wonderful tours in the archipelago of the northern Lake Vättern and also stops at the pier at the castle Stjernsund, where you can visit the facilities of royal times with German-speaking guides.

The small idyllic town on Lake Vättern is absolutely worth seeing, as are Hjo and Karlsborg. You can stroll along the water, there are numerous cafes, restaurants and ice cream shops. You can park right in the center for 3 hours, just outside without restrictions. There is even a bathing jetty and a large modern playground. Everywhere on the water and in the city nice opportunities to sit. We came on a 5 km hike
