The castle park is a very beautiful park, which invites you to linger. In addition, the park is of course the castle Philippsruhe, which is one of the most important cultural and architectural monuments of Hesse. The castle is today mainly a historical museum.

The museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 11am to 6pm. The entrance fee is four euros.

In the castle there is also a café and a beautiful terrace overlooking the river Main.

Philippsruhe Castle is one of the most important cultural and architectural monuments in Hesse. It is a splendid baroque style country castle based on French models in the immediate vicinity of the Main and surrounded by a magnificent castle park with an orangery, belvedere, sculpture park and amphitheater.
The Hanau Historical Museum has been in the Corps de Logis of Philippsruhe Castle since 1967 and is the regional museum for Hanau's history, cultural history and art history. It is sponsored by the city of Hanau and the Hanau Historical Association 1844 e.V. The Hanau Paper Theater Museum is sponsored by the »Hanauer Paper Theater Museum« association in cooperation with the city of Hanau.
The Hanau Paper Theater Museum - a small-scale theater story - is its own special museum in the Hanau Historical Museum of particular charm.
