The Old Tower in the Teutonic Order Castle in Neckarsulm is also known as the keep. This historic tower is one of the oldest buildings in the city and probably dates back to the 13th century. The keep was rebuilt and expanded several times over the centuries, especially during the rule of the Teutonic Order, which ruled over Neckarsulm from 1484 to 1805.

The keep belongs to a whole building complex of the Deutschordenschloss in Neckarsulm. It forms the southwestern corner of the city fortification and is placed on the corner.
