Het Lankheet is an estate south of Haaksbergen. The family estate covers approximately 500 hectares and has an alternation of forest (390 hectares), agriculture (50 hectares), heath and fens (40 hectares) and reed filters (15 hectares). The Buurserbeek runs through the area. In the vicinity of the estate is the Oostendorper watermill where oil, flour and paper were used in the past. The raw materials for this were transported across the brook. There used to be flow meadows on the estate. After 1999 an attempt was made to restore the flow meadow system. The estate has been partially transformed into a water park for this purpose. Scientific research is being conducted in the field of water management by, among others, the Rhine and IJssel Water Board and Wageningen University.

Just enjoying. You will see all kinds of little frogs on the path. Small Dragonflies damselflies, you will encounter many different butterflies on your route. Because of the overgrown fens, it is difficult to see the water birds. However, you do hear them. You can see various wild flowers along the walking path. A treat for nature lovers.
