The associated Cyriakus chapel changed back and forth between Catholic and Lutheran administration in the course of the Reformation. When the chapel was also given up, the wooden statuette of the patron saint finally migrated via the Nünschweiler parish in 1845 to the newly built St. Cyriakus church in Großsteinhausen.
Unfortunately, what was left of the monastery was used as a cattle shed, and the courtyard of the monastery as a cemetery for the Catholic citizens of the surrounding communities. The well-preserved tombstones still bear witness to families living here from the 19th century
