Located in Valsassina at 1,050 meters above sea level, the Riva refuge can only be reached on foot or by bicycle. It is open almost all year round, although in the colder months only on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. It is advisable to call to book, at the number 3287115705.

The Riva refuge is a corner of serenity among the peaks of Lombardy. Located at a height of 1,022 metres, it offers a breathtaking view of the Grigna and Valsassina massifs. An ideal place to relax after a day of hiking, with the warm welcome of the manager Giampiero Rozzoni, who is a local celebrity.

As soon as the stretch with really challenging slopes is over (avoid when there is snow and ice) the plain of the Riva refuge opens up with a beautiful view of the Valsassina
