    Lake Longemer, along with Lake Gerardmer and Lake Retournemer, forms the Valley of Lakes. It is fed by the Vologne River, which still supplies fresh water to the valley, although it is quite cold.

    There are several swimming spots that are ideal for cooling off after a strenuous hike.

                  Idyllic mountain lake surrounded by dense mixed forests with various paths to walk around. There are two campsites directly on the lake and several bathing areas. The water is fresh and very clear (August 2024) with sandy, shallow entrances. If you like, you will also find a kiosk, ice cream stands, pedal boat rentals, etc.
                  Wonderful to swim in the mountain panorama!
