    White Downs Lane is a challenging but rewarding ascent - it has a few false summits, where the road rises and levels off before rising again, and a few hairpins that add to the fun.

      Awesome descent/cracking climb from the top of the downs to the a25. Some testing bends on the way down and knee-popping climbs on the way up!

        Oh man, she's a tough climb. At 18%, make sure you're do doing it near the start of your cycle and not at the end!

          Two hairpins at the start of the main section of the climb and then tough all the way. Never feels easy however well you are riding.

              This is an absolutely fantastic climb, definitely my favourite local hill. Look out for the old WW2 pill box on the way up

                Just a bath steward. The hairpin ensures your start this climb from practically a standing start for a climb that is 18% . Tough, tough, tough.

                    Road surface has been replaced recently which is good. The initial part of the climb is brutal, descending it can be difficult especially in the wet so don’t pick up too much speed!

                        Wow what a climb. We rode this today, peeling off before the two hairpins with other cyclists wishing us luck and we were clueless until we saw the 18% sign 😳 Needless to say we were pretty stationary before making our way up. Very tough but felt great to conquer it.
