All Hallows Church was built in 1130 on the site of a former pagan temple. Historians believe the tower was built in 1180.

Inside, the font dates from the early 16th century and has interesting carvings on its bowl and stem. In 1850, an earlier font dating to the 9th century was found in a nearby farmyard — where it had been used as a drinking trough — and was returned to the church. All Hallows is Grade I-listed.

The church has a simple nave and chancel as well as 16th-century carvings. In 1900, the church was restored by architect Temple Moore to its current splendor. Have a look at the stained glass windows which tell the tale of the church's varied history from King Edwin to the modern Millennium.
