Former railway line that led from Johanneskirchen to the drained Johanneskirchner Moor.
Construction of this freight line began in 1939.
The line was completed in 1942 using forced laborers from a Reichsbahn labor camp on Johanneskirchner Straße. It was then planned that the route would continue to Zorneding and meet the connection to Rosenheim there after the rail connections closer to Munich had been damaged by the Allied bombing raids.
Forced laborers were used again, this time from a camp at Ostbahnhof. The tracks were completed, but by the end of the war there were still no signaling systems. As a result, the Zorneding line was dismantled in 1946 and the Feldkirchner Tangente in 1949. The materials released as a result were used for reconstruction.
