    Bayrisch Eisenstein station is a border station between Germany and the Czech Republic. The monumental double station directly on the border has survived the worst, iron curtain, boarded up border, and decay. Today the train travels to two different countries, Munich or Prague, where tourists also have the opportunity to hike in the Bavarian Forest or in the Bohemian Forest. The station itself is worth a visit because it is also historically interesting.

                  A visit to the Bayerisch Eisenstein border station is very worthwhile. Interesting history and in the museum information on the development of winter sports, border station, bats and miniature train. Great cafe and nearby railway museum.

                                  The Bayerisch Eisenstein / Železná Ruda-Alžbětín train station is not only a curiosity as it stands on the border, it is also a very beautiful building, easy to reach by train from both sides of the border and thus a great starting point for a border hike - and if the forest railway is delayed by more than an hour due to a switch problem, as was the case with us, there is also a car park with reasonable fees. Not far away are two restaurants and the local railway museum in the old engine shed.
