The Bunker Hill Monument in Boston commemorates the Battle of Bunker Hill during the American Revolution. Standing at 221 feet, it offers panoramic views of the city. Completed in 1843, it's a tribute to the sacrifices of those in the fight for American independence.

Well-known memorial to a lesser-known story, namely the Battle of Bunker Hill in the Revolutionary War of 1775 (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Bunker_Hill). The battle was lost for the Americans, but showed their will to persevere and thus had a signal effect.
Climbing the tower is well worth it (free tickets are available at the exhibition building/shop on the corner of Main Street) - you get a fantastic view of the city from here, plus you get a little stair workout for free.
