This downhill path is very well laid out and interesting for the young and the young at heart... originally this was the old school path for the kids from the Geishöhe, who had to go down to school in Wintersbach... the path has now been expanded thematically: as a passion path shows He has the Passion of Jesus on numerous wayside shrines (if you like it) and then as a wooden path, with many descriptive panels, figures, stories and experiments to try out for yourself, everything to do with the topic of forest and wood... cool stuff and really interesting too.

The descent from the Geißhöhe to Wintersbach via the "Alten Schulweg" leads along an educational forest trail. Stone slabs, an obelisk, a forgotten millstone and an old pumping station line the path. The "Alte Schulweg" is also the Passionsweg and Kreuzweg, equipped with photos of the Dammbach Passion Play, which take place here every 5 years.

It is called “Alter Schulweg” because children used this three-kilometre-long path with an altitude difference of around 300 m all year round. It was not until 1968, after a children's strike, that there was a school bus. The steep path fell into oblivion. In 2004/2005, the "Alten Schulweg" became an adventure trail for hikers.

The ascent to the "Geißhöhe" on the "old way to school" is actually exhausting. About 300 meters of altitude have to be overcome. But with the here set up "forest nature trail" there is a lot of variety. The set up "Waldsofas" help too!
