The Romanshöhe mountain inn is located directly on the Altherrensteig, which runs between Unterammergau and Oberammergau, at an altitude of around 900 metres. The restaurant can be reached from Oberammergau in about 30 minutes; it has a beautiful terrace with an unobstructed view of the Ammergau Prealps mountains to the south. The food on offer is limited in number, but very tasty and affordable. A stop is recommended.
