The Evangelical Lutheran village church of St. Trinitatis is located with the neighboring Friedenskirche St. Veit in the municipality of Veilsdorf in the district of Hildburghausen in Thuringia. The trees in front of it, laid out as a small avenue, are listed buildings.

The long-distance hiking trail X5 (Werra-Burgensteig) runs around the Eichigt. From here you have a great opportunity to join the X5. In summer there are many interesting events here and the view is magnificent.

Unfortunately, the St. Trinitatis Church is closed and cannot be visited. You can walk around half of the church grounds. There is a beautiful coat of arms above the entrance portal.

The church stands on a ledge of the Leite, a ridge next to the Werra. The mighty tower above the late Gothic choir is 20 meters high and stands out with its cornices, windows and hatches. The building has four floors with a slate-covered crown with a knob and weather vane, reaching a height of 31 meters. The roof is pyramid-shaped and also covered with slate. All in all it rises 51 meters into the air. The nave, built in 1604, is covered with tiles. The landmark of the town and the upper Werra valley is decorated inside with floral motifs and stylized imitation stone and a painted coffered ceiling.
