Since 1972 - The theater ship Batavia Built in 1892 in Stettin, length: 29.80 m, width: 7.80 m, draft: 1.20 m. The name comes from Dutch. Batavia was the capital of Indonesia (now Jakarta) until 1946. Built for the Imperial Navy, as a river gunboat, with the Tsingtau area of operation in China under the name "Fatherland". After several years of wanderings and many combat missions, the ship has been back in Hamburg since 1943. A direct hit by an English aircraft bomb and fire on board caused it to sink to the bottom of the Elbe. In 1952 the ship was lifted and rented as the “Phoenix” rowing club. In 1972 Hannes Grabau bought the ship and christened it "Batavia". Two years later it was put to its current use and converted into a theater ship. Thousands of events have taken place since then. 11월 6, 2021, Wedel (Holst) S-Bahn Station
After the opening of the Altona-Blankeneser Railway in 1876, Wedel also wanted to be connected to the railway network. After Wedel had provided the necessary building site free of charge and contributed 20,000 gold marks to the construction costs, construction of the single-track line began. The line was opened at the end of 1883. In the beginning there were four pairs of passenger trains every day. In freight traffic, agricultural products from the surrounding area and gravel from a pit near Sülldorf were transported. While some sections of the Hamburg S-Bahn were electrified as early as 1940, the line to Wedel was only operated with direct current from 1954. The station originally had a two-storey station building made of brick as well as a bypass, a siding for freight wagons and ancillary buildings. During the Second World War, the station building was slightly damaged and then only little repaired. In 1954 the parking facilities were expanded. In 1985 the station building was demolished. This was followed by new horseshoe-shaped residential buildings around the train station. Since then, access to the platform has been through two passageways under the houses. The station is served every 10 minutes during rush hour, otherwise every 20 minutes by S1 trains. Source: Wikipedia

We have already seen some great plays on the Batavia. Gastronomy is also available. Culinary with culture ... a great mix. In summer there is an open air cinema and Pipi Longstocking comes on stage for the children.

Wonderful running route along the banks of the Elbe - including the best view of the Port of Hamburg and the large ships that come and go here. It is especially nice to jog here in the early morning, then there is not so much going on and the atmosphere on the Elbe is simply wonderful.
