Santenay is a charming wine-growing village in Côte-d’Or. It consists of renowned vineyards, thermal baths and the Sorine mill, offering a beautiful harmony between nature and tradition.

Beautiful views from the site. Nothing of the excavations can be seen anymore. For information about the camp, stop by the museum located at Chassey-le-Camp town hall. Created in 2018, you can see the 19th and 20th century discoveries made on the site through six interpretive panels and six display cases displaying sixty authentic objects and artifacts.

Very beautiful canal, with continuous cycle path (EV6)

The Canal du Centre was built between 1783 and 1793 to ensure communication between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. The greenway that runs alongside the canal is part of EuroVelo 6 and skirts southern Burgundy between the Saône and the Loire. This segment offers beautiful panoramas of the Santenay vineyards.

Local Bakery with delicious pastries and all sorts of bread, 20 min by foot from Camping de Santenay.

The Maranges terroir is the southernmost appellation of the Côte de Beaune. The hilly landscape is superb. The first growths of the Maranges have been included on the World Heritage List by UNESCO since 2015.

Santenay – a beautiful village, a lovely fountain, and good wine. And there are restaurants! – something that's not always readily available along this EV6 route.
