We go here often and enjoy it. Most of the time we go here alone. There is not much going on, you could say it is rather lonely

The outer dike of St. Margarethen is located near the Elbe and is now an important bird sanctuary. Originally, this area was part of a dike system that protected the hinterland from flooding. Over time, the harbor creek became increasingly silted up and port operations were discontinued. Today, the outer dike provides an important habitat for numerous bird species and is a popular destination for nature observation and cycling tours. The outer dike and the surrounding area are ideal for hikes and bike rides along the Elbe, with wonderful views of the passing ships. Historically, the area was also the site of a pilot station, but this was not rebuilt after a fire in 1902.

Brokdorf Beach is a small, picturesque sandy beach on the Elbe River, known for its beautiful sunsets and views of the nearby Brokdorf Nuclear Power Plant. Despite its proximity to the power plant, the beach is rarely crowded and is great for walking, photography, and cycling. However, visitors should be cautious of broken glass on the beach. The beach offers a tranquil environment and is a popular destination for locals and tourists who want to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Unterfeuer Hollerwettern은 슐레스비히-홀슈타인에 있는 등대로, Brokdorf-Hollerwettern 등대 시스템의 일부입니다. 이 시스템은 두 개의 등대, 즉 Unterfeuer와 Oberfeuer로 구성되어 있으며, 이 두 등대는 함께 엘베강 항해를 위한 유도등 역할을 합니다. Unterfeuer는 1982년에 가동을 시작했으며 높이는 21.6미터입니다. 콘크리트로 지어졌으며 슈타인부르크(Steinburg) 지역의 베벨스플레트(Wewelsfleth) 근처에 있습니다. 원래의 Unterfeuer는 1911년에 세워졌으나, 1982년 9월 15일에 운행이 중단되고 새로운 구조물로 교체되었습니다. 오래된 등대는 높이가 18미터였으며 현재는 슐레스비히-홀슈타인의 문화 기념물입니다. 이 등대 시스템은 Oberfeuer와 동기화된 빛의 시퀀스를 생성하여 선박이 엘베강 하구를 안전하게 항해하도록 돕습니다. Unterfeuer Hollerwettern은 엘베강을 따라 있는 눈에 띄는 지점이며 이 지역의 해양 역사의 일부입니다. 또한 인기 있는 사진 촬영 장소이며 지역을 탐험하고 싶어하는 관광객들이 자주 방문합니다.
