Dramatic sunsets looking downstream over the Zhuoshui River- Taiwan’s longest river, dividing north and south. There’s a lovely ride south from here along the flood wall, just be aware there are only a few ramps where you can get off again; plenty of stairs though.

In front of the temple is the original stone with the inscription Sun Moon Lake, which is besieged by Chinese tourist hordes. To everyone Chinese tourists the opportunity to give themselves with a stone were photographed around the lake more stones were placed around the original stone, which among the locals due to the tumult at the Photographing also called Streitstein is called to relieve.
