There are a few places to lock up your bike at the motorcycle park at Place du Prado (facing the Narbonnaise Gate, the square in front of the Pont Levis Hotel). Otherwise : SAQUETTE BY FRED 9 Avenue du Maréchal Foch, opposite the station and the Canal du Midi 04 68 71 62 18 * Monday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm * €5 per day per bag * €8 per day by bike HOTEL ESPACE CITÉ 132 rue Trivalle, at the foot of the Cité 04 68 25 24 24 5€ / luggage or bike for the day from 9am to 7pm.

You will find yourself here at the foot of the ramparts of this major site, considered one of the most important medieval towns in Europe. From there you can continue to the Porte Narbonnaise a few meters away. I saw a cyclist come in through that door and ride through the city. But in truth, this is not of much interest, unless your thing is to ride on cobblestones while slaloming between tourists. It is undoubtedly preferable to stop at the ramparts, and even better to dedicate a leisurely sightseeing tour on foot to this exceptional fortified city.

The castle offers a new perspective at every corner because it was built over so many eras. Really nice. I would have liked more information boards and background knowledge, you are left very alone, but with a great view.

Abandoned thermal baths by the roadside just before the village of Rennes Les Bains. Nearby there is still the possibility to bathe in hot spring waters. Bugarach is also very close.
