Stocksee is an idyllic lake in Holstein Switzerland. Surrounded by forests, meadows, and rolling hills, the 1.3-square-kilometer body of water is ideal for swimming, paddling, hiking, and biking. Here is a large bathing area with a wooden jetty. The lakeside pool is fully accessible and has a large, shaded parking lot.

The Stocksee, located east of the town of the same name, extends into the districts of Segeberg and Plön. It is around 200 hectares in size and has a maximum depth of 30.2 m. The lake is particularly important as a resting and moulting area and is therefore partly part of the Mittlerer Stocksee and surrounding area nature reserve. A hiking trail runs 11.7 kilometers around the lake, mostly close to the shore. An unguarded bathing area is located in the middle of the town of Stocksee. Motorboats are not allowed on the lake. Anglers will get their money's worth here, however, as the lake is home to perch, pike, zander and eels, among other species.

The Schmalensee is located west of the town of Schmalensee and on the border of the Holstein Switzerland Nature Park. It is around 90 hectares in size and up to 7.5m deep. It is part of the Bornhöveder lake chain, which consists of a total of 6 lakes and is also part of the Wankendorfer lake district. South of the Schmalensee in the immediate vicinity is the Bornhöveder See, both are connected by a branch canal about 100m long. The Stocksee with an eagle and several campers is shown on this beautiful transformer box. There is a campsite by the lake in the immediate vicinity of the box. The eagle refers to the sea eagles circling more and more frequently over the lakes of Schleswig-Holstein. The coat of arms of Stocksee is depicted on the side. Above you can see two tree stumps, which stand for the "stock" part of the name. The bundle of corns in the upper center symbolizes the importance of agriculture for the community, which consists of the village of Stocksee and the Stockseehof estate. Below is the second part of the name of the municipality and the lake with the wave cut and the blue color. The dugout refers to a find from the late Middle Ages that was discovered during excavations in Stocksee in 1985.
