The Günz is a 55 km long river. It arises near Lauben in the district of Unterallgäu from the confluence of the Western and Eastern Günz and flows primarily in a northerly direction. It flows into the Danube near Günzburg. The Günztalradweg leads through idyllic and pretty places where the typical Swabian hospitality is still cultivated. Castles and magnificent baroque churches are embedded in the varied landscape with diverse flora and fauna.
