The precise origins of Montbazens are unknown. However, rare but interesting remains suggest that its territory was inhabited during prehistory. Neolithic tools (from 5000 to 2500 BC) deposited in the departmental collections of the FENAILLE Museum in Rodez were found at the place called "Le Causse" to the west of the town.

Villeneuve d'Aveyron, or simply Villeneuve, is a beautiful town made up of an 11th century salvage and a 13th century bastide. It is a pleasant place for a break with something to refresh and eat and a remarkable architectural heritage.

Saint-Césaire Abbey is located in the heart of Maurs, a commune in Cantal, France. Dating from the 10th century, this building was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. The oldest parts of the current building date from the 15th and 16th centuries. You can find there the reliquary bust of Saint Césaire, the patron saint of this church.
