This was the first barren land park, which due to its special location, its construction began in 1966 in two different phases. The first phase included the part of the park that was located along Valiasr Street and was called "Roadside Boulevard".

Yousefabad is one of the oldest neighborhoods in District 6 of the municipality, which has expanded from south to north with the formation of Yousefabad Street. This neighborhood was originally built as a settlement in the northwest of Tehran on one of the northern hills of the city by the late Mirza Yousef Ashtiani Sadr Azam and the naming of this neighborhood goes back to his name, Mirza Yousef Mostofi al-Mamalik from the men of Nasser al-Din Shah. Various sources mention that Yousefabad had many gardens and aqueducts; For example, the names of some of the famous gardens of Yousefabad are as follows: Pergola Garden, Upper Garden, Inner Garden, Garden Garden and…. There are also aqueducts such as the Great Aqueduct, the Tangi Aqueduct, and the Qalaman Aqueduct in this area, which were used to irrigate gardens and agricultural lands.
