The section on the reservoir side contains steep sections

This small footbridge over the Vézère River adds a certain charm to this already naturally bucolic spot. When the sun shines through the trees, it's a pleasant place to sit down near the footbridge for a short break. A true little corner of paradise.

The Treignac dam, an arch dam, was built from 1949 to 1951 for hydroelectric power generation. The power station, supplied by a penstock, is located seven kilometers from the dam, in Chingeat, after a drop of 164 meters.

This is where five smaller country roads in the region meet. Asphalt is ok, rather rough. Little going on!

Overall, the orange roads (cf. federal highway) are in very good condition and hardly ever traveled during the week (despite the high season!). The side streets are okay in terms of asphalt.

This is an artificial lake, located in the Regional Natural Park of Millevaches in Limousin created for the production of hydroelecticity . All around there is a wood, the little village of Viam and a Camping area. You can go cycling by MTB or have a nice walk. This is one of the lakes in this region where you can enjoy your stay relaxing a lot. Travelling by bike is very nice as well.
