Lasalle is a small Cévennes village in Gard crossed by the Salindrenque.

Granite chaos which, it is said, once, when the vegetation was less dense, reflected the light of the full moon.

Here, a teacher from Lasalle who had lost many members of his family (including his son) during the 14-18 war had a hundred cedars planted in their homage.

This village has a listed monument: the castle of Castellas. Its origin goes back a long way because it is located on the site of an ancient Roman oppidum. It was from the year 864 that a Carolingian fortress was erected, which the locals called Castellas in the Occitan language. This castle has been registered as a historical monument since December 26, 1980. It cannot be visited because it is a private residence.

You can refresh yourself in Colognac. The bar on the square sells drinks and offers other services. In the town, you'll find the charming Mouleyrette mill. It's nestled in the heart of the Gard Cévennes mountains, in a beautiful setting along a rugged river. Located at an altitude of 600 meters, it sits near a small waterfall. It's still operational, thanks to a restoration project undertaken by an association in 1991.
