Bonneval castle overlooks the town of Coussac village. He occupied an important strategic position. A first building already existed in 930. It was rebuilt in the 14th century, then remodeled in the 18th century. It is a quadrangle flanked by four large round towers, surrounded by ditches. This oval barn is one of the last examples of built heritage of this type in the three neighboring cantons of Corrèze, Haute-Vienne and Dordogne. Built to the east of the plot bordered to the north by the house and to the south by the pigsty, the building housed under the same thatched roof an area to be threshed and a shed for agricultural equipment, a hayloft, a barn, a stable and a chicken coop.
